AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 Released

Hyperion Entertainment is pleased to announce the immediate availability for download of Update 4 by registered users of AmigaOS 4.1 for all supported platforms.

Hyperion continues its tradition to provide regular free updates of AmigaOS 4.1 and with the festive season just days away, this is a particularly appropriate time for a free update.

Update 4 requires AmigaOS 4.1 Update 3 prior to installation.

The following new functionality and bug fixes are included in Update 4:

Introducing the new Emulation drawer with official AmigaOS 3.x ROMs and Workbench files. AmigaOS ROMs are provided for all classic Amiga models and the CD32 platform.
Added RunInUAE contribution to utilize the new Emulation drawer.
New scsi.device patch for Classic installations which enables SCSI drives to be used for memory paging (SWAP).
Added NoDriveClick utility for Classic users.
Added DefIcons support for RunInUAE.
Updated TCP/IP stack with much improved DHCP support.
Updated MUI with various fixes.
Various Workbench fixes.
Fixed several USB issues.
Fixed elf.library that could cause programs using shared objects to misbehave when unloading (e.g. Timberwolf).

AmigaOS4 NetBook Geliyor :)

Hyperion Entertainment çalışanı ve AmigaOS4 Beta-Test takımı yöneticisi Steven Solie dün Amerika'da yapılan AmiWest 2011 Amiga toplantısında AmigaOS4'ün Freescale MPC5121e işlemciye sahip uzakdoğuda üretilen bir Netbook'a port edilmekte olduğunu duyurdu. Şu anda AmigaOS4'ün çalıştığı bu netbook 2012'in ilk veya ikinci çeyreğinde 300 USD - 500 USD fiyat aralığında AmigaOS4 lisansı ile birlikte piyasaya sürüleceğini açıkladı.

Şu anda Frieden kardeşlerde 1 adet bulunduğu cihazın 12" inç LCD ekran ile modifiye edilmiş bir LimeBook olduğunu tahmin ediliyor..

AmigaOS4.1 Update 3 Çıktı

AmigaOS4.1 Update3, Classic'lerden Sam460'a kadar OS4.1'ü destekleyen bütün platformalar için Hyperion tarafından yayınlandı. Yasal AmigaOS4.1 sahipleri Hyperion sitesinden güncellemeyi indirebilirler. AmigaOS4.1 Update3 Gelmek Üzere

Napalm AmigaOS4 için Güncellendi

1998 yılında ClickBoom firmasının Amiga için piyasaya sürdüğü efsanevi RTS oyunu Napalm, programcı Alfkill tarafından AmigaOS4.1 ve yeni nesil makineler için güncellendi. Şu anda beta-testinin yapıyorum oyunun ve bu efsane oyunu piyasaya sürülüşünden 13 yıl sonra bile oynamak hala çok zevkli :)

New Parthenope and Linux Kernel for Sam460ex

Amiga X1000 Nemo Revision Board üretim fotoğrafları yayınlandı. Bu board sipariş eden ilk beta-test takımına gönderilecek board olacak. Bir sorun bulunmadığı takdirde bu board seri üretime geçen versiyon olacak.

What's new in this version:

* changed AHB bus setup, this fixes the use of the onboard SATA2 port with the sam460sata.device on AmigaOS4.1.
* improved DDR2 setup
* improved Radeon HD4650 setup
* fixed a bug in the PCI-E 1x/SATA2 menu

With this version the onboard SATA2 connector becomes fully functional and can be used with the sam460sata.device distributed with AmigaOS 4.1 for Sam460ex. Please note that the driver shipped with AmigaOS4.1 for Sam460ex still operates in PIO mode. A future update of the driver will enable full DMA modes.

The updated installation guide describes in detail the usual installation method (ISO image) and alternative methods (TFTP), but for this release only the TFTP method is available.

Sam460'i SD Kart Üzerinden Boot Ettirmek

Sam460ex anakartın üzerinde bir SD kart slotu içeriyor. Bu SD kartı slotunu bir harddisk olarak kullanabiliyor ve isterseniz benim yaptığım 2GB SD karta AmigaOS4.1 kurabilir ve boot edebilirsiniz.

Bunu yapmak için SD kartı Sam460ex'a taktıktan (slot board'un arka yüzündedir); Media Toolbox ile usbdisk.device seçerek aynen bir harddisk kurar gibi partition olarak bölüm ve boot etmek için L:slb_v2 dosyasını atın ve SFS olarak kart formatlayın

Daha sonra CD'den boot ederek; SD Card'a AmigaOS4.1'i kurun. Kurulumdan sonra UBoot menüsünden boot device olarak USB HD'i seçerseniz; Sam460Ex SD Karttan boot edecektir. SD Karttan boot özelliği özellikle yeni güncellemeleri test edenler veya program geliştirenler için gerçekten hoş bir özellik.

Geçen gün Acer Aspire One için IcAros'u SD karta kurmuştum, bu da AmigaOS4.1 için güzel oldu :)

Sam460ex AmigaKit stoklarında...

Sam460Ex + AmigaOS4.1, AmigaKit mağazasının stoklarına girdi. AmigaKit, AmigaOS4.1'i ek olarak SD Card üzerinde de müşterilerine dağıtıyor. Sam460Ex, SD Card yuvasına sahip olduğu için buradan çok hızlı şekilde boot etmek mümkün.

ACube Systems Srl is pleased to announce the immediate release of Hyperion's AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2 for Sam460ex. Boards and installation CDs are now shipping to resellers.

The board is running at 1.15 Ghz and allows all Amigans to use modern graphic cards thanks to its PCI express slot.
Other features include: 7 USB ports and Gigabit ethernet.
The board is available at a suggested price of 749,00 EUR (including AmigaOS 4.1).
Price excludes local taxes and shipping costs.
Sam460ex AmigaOS 4.1 version:

The version of AmigaOS 4 that will be shipped with the Sam460ex is still to be considered beta. It is made from AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2 on which specific components for Sam460ex were added.
You will still have a valid AmigaOS 4 licence that allows you to download the next AmigaOS update when it will be available from Hyperion Entertainment.
Notes about the AmigaOS 4.1 CD currently shipping with Sam460ex

Currently RadeonHD driver supports the following chipsets with full 2D hardware acceleration and DDC:

* R500 (with compositing support) - Radeon X1550, X1650, X1950 and others
* R600 - Radeon HD 2400 - HD 3450 - HD 3650 and others
* R700 - Radeon HD 4350 - HD 4650

The audio driver will be released on OS4depot as soon as it is ready.

The driver for the onboard SATA port is still experimental. It is not loaded by the kicklayout file but you still can use it (at your own risk). It is located in Devs: and you can use it through Mounter.

The final version will be released with an OS update. In the meantime we suggest to use a Silicon Image 3512 PCI card or an USB-SATA combo PCI card with a Silicon Image chip.
