Merak edip aldığım 25 Euro'luk RaspberryPi ARM işlemcili bugün posta yolu ile elime ulaştı. Ürünün housing'ini sipariş etmediğim için elimdeki bir HDMI kablosundan geçici dandik bir kutu yaptım. RaspberryPi MicroUSB cep telefon adaptörleri ile (Samsung orjinal) çok rahat çalışıyor. Raspbian isimli Debian Linux sürümünü 2GB'lık SD card'tan çalıştırıyor. Aşağıdaki Sam460'nin yanında ve MacMini'nin üzerinde RaspberryPi ve dandik housing'ini görebilirsiniz.

Limitations
=======
- The driver supports audio playback only, it does not support recording.
- The on-board SAM460 SATA driver does not appear to support DMA.
If you use the audio driver while simultaneously undertaking very heavy
disk activity with the on-board SAM460 SATA, the audio may pause due to
high CPU usage.
- If you experience no audio playback, but you believe that all is setup
correctly, turn off the SAM460 completely. Then turn it on and try again.

This is a modified version of AbakuTLSyms-Regular Truetype font has the new Turkish Lira Currency Symbol.
You can use Alt Gr + 4 key combination to type the symbol using TurkishQ keyboard in AmigaOS 4.x

Installation :

- Download and unpack the archive
- Run "System/TypeManager"
- In TypeManager: Select the path that you unpacked the archive as Source Directory.
- Click Install
- Run "System/FixFonts"

- Run your favorite word processor (e.g. Cinnamon Writer)
- Select AbakuTLSyms-Regular as the font
- Press Alt Gr + 4 combination to type the new Turkish Lira currency symbol

Timberwolf 4.0 Beta AmigaOS4

The Timberwolf team is proud to announce the immediate availability of the first beta version of Timberwolf 4.0.1. Timberwolf is an AmigaOS web browser based on Firefox/Mozilla technology. This technology is more than just a browser, it is an enabling technology, bringing powerful tools such as html5, WebM, JavaScript, XUL, and more to AmigaOS 4.x. These are the building blocks for other applications as well, such as the email client "Thunderbird" or the media center "Songbird".

This first beta release includes almost the full functionality of the browser, allowing style-sheet enabled web browsing, secure connections, use of Firefox^® add-on and more.

Of course, being a beta, there are some limitations, such as missing support for printing, sound, WebGL, and drag&drop. Most importantly, no support for hardware accelerated rendering is implemented yet. We are working on getting all those features implemented over time. Current focus is on stability and completeness.

Minimum Requirements:

AmigaOS 4.1 (Update 4) is required to run this version of Timberwolf.

SketchBlock V1.2

New sketching and painting package for AmigaOS, SketchBlock. The project is in it's very early stages but is very bold in it's long term aims. What are those aims? To create a sophisticated application for digital painting, with full support for graphics tablets, layers, a wide variety of tools, configurable interface, full arexx script support, a plugin API and much more. The bias of SketchBlock will be towards painting and creating digital art rather than image processing, but it will likely be usable for manipulating photos too! Download From OS4Depot

AmigaOne X1000 Piyasaya Çıktı

A-EON kısıtlı sayıda AmigaOne X1000'i AmigaOS4.1 Update 5 ile birlikte sipariş veren normal son kullanıcılara göndermeye başladı. Sipariş verenlerin önümüzdeki hafta X1000'leri alması bekleniyor.
Diğer taraftan ise diğer platformlar için OS4.1 Update 5 ve OS4.2 için çalışmalara devam ediliyor :)

"A-EON Technology is now shipping AmigaOne X1000 to a select group of "First Contact" customers. Instead of waiting until AmigaOS 4.2 was completed, A-EON decided to do a limited production run of X1000 systems for the general public. These systems are shipping with a special version of AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 only for X1000 users.

All "First Contact" customers will be provided with their own unique AmigaOS 4.2 serial number via email. This serial number entitles them to free support via Hyperion's support forum as well as access to any new drivers and updates via the main site.

Given the rushed nature of this AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 release, there are still some bugs and a few rough edges. Remember, the X1000 was originally planned to be released only with AmigaOS 4.2 installed. Also please keep in mind most of the X1000 system is still unoptimized. This is truly the most powerful Amiga Operating System hardware platform ever released and we plan to utilize this hardware to its full potential in due course.

The development and beta testing teams we will do their best to help manage any issues as we march towards the final 4.2 product release!

Radeon HD V0.32 Sürücü Yayınlandı

ACube Systems is happy to deliver another update of the RadeonHD driver developed by Hans de Ruiter for PCIe graphic cards. You'll find below a list of changes in this version.

If you are an AmigaOne 500 or Sam460 customer and didn't receive your driver update by email, send us a message using our contact page (please give also your name and the motherboard serial number).

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your support. This allows us to push Hans de Ruiter, the driver author, to work even more on this project and it helps moving the AmigaOS experience forward even more.

Here's a list of fixes:
- Some R700 GPUs were locking up when compositing "large" vertex arrays. FIXED
- Screens that were larger than the display resolution were garbled. FIXED.
- R500 vertex array clipping was one pixel larger than it was supposed to be (could cause the right-hand edge to spill over to the left most column of pixels). FIXED.
- Fixed an R500 compositing bug that could cause corruption if one compositing operation rapidly draws directly over the previous one
- WaitTOF() and similar functions could cause the machine to lockup when called from a task with a priority >= 1. FIXED.
